Hi, I’m Mike Estela. I am a secondary math teacher and undeniably, I LOVE Math. As an educator, one of my passions is to create free math tutorials and lessons to help students with their math studies. My goal for this website is to cover selected topics in introductory, intermediate and advanced algebra. My pedagogy in teaching math is to expose students to many types of problems of the same topic or skill with varying levels of difficulty. It is always a plus to include step-by-step or guided instructions, and diagrams or illustrations, as needed. The tone/approach of each lesson is intended to be practical or informal to make it more conversational which makes it less intimidating to students or adult learners. I hope that you find this math website helpful in your math journey. If ever you find any typos and/or errors, please don’t hesitate to let me know so I can correct them as soon as possible. You may reach me at contact(at)chilimath.com.
I have also created a new website (still in progress) that focuses on math terms and their definitions. This is quite useful if you just want to understand the meaning of a particular math word. It doesn’t have a lot of content yet but it should have enough by the end of this year. ChiliMathWords.com is intended to be a collection of math words or terms with easy to understand definitions. This is a work in progress so please feel free to email me at contact(at)chilimathwords.com for any suggestions. Thank you!

For teachers and homeschoolers, I have an online math store for both elementary math and secondary math that you might be interested in. In addition to creating math websites, I also love to make math resources for teachers that require little to no prep work. My goal is to help my fellow teachers save time by creating teaching resources for their classrooms so that they can focus more on what they do BEST – that is to teach, guide, mentor, and inspire kids. If you have any questions about my online store, please email me at
I apologize for my very “anemic” social media presence. However, I want to do a better job of connecting with you. You can keep in touch with me through ChiliMath’s Facebook Page to check out any updates about my site.
